In this true-life story, we follow the journey of a boxer who became a priest. The injury that ended Stuart Long’s amateur boxing career forced him to leave his home to live in Los Angeles in search of fame and money. In the midst of scraping by as a supermarket clerk, he meets Carmen, a Sunday school teacher who seems to be immune to his bad-boy charm despite being a Sunday school teacher. The longtime agnostic, determined to win her over, begins to attend church in an attempt to impress her by showing his faith. However, a motorcycle accident leaves him wondering if he can use his second chance to help others, leading to the surprising realization that he’s meant to be a Catholic priest.
