Stella is a seventeen-year-old cystic fibrosis patient who spends most of her time in the hospital because of her illness. When she meets Will, an impossibly charming teen with the same illness as her, her life is full of routine, boundaries, and self-control, all of which are put to the test when she meets him, and all of which get tested when she meets him. They immediately begin flirting, but restrictions dictate that they must maintain a safe distance from each other in order to maintain a safe relationship. In time, as their connection intensifies, so does the temptation to throw the rules out of the window and embrace the feelings they are feeling.
