Short Story:
The story is set in a fictional village of Dakshina Kannada, and Kantara is a visual spectacle that embodies the traditional culture of Kambla and Bhootha Kola in an amazing way. Humans and nature are at odds in the story.
Shiva (Rishab Shetty) rebels against nature. He engages in intense conflicts. Eventually, a much-anticipated loop leads to a war between the villagers and the evil forces. Shiva did what in order to save his village. What was his approach to this challenge? The film’s story is based on this.
Acting:
Audiences will be wowed by the performances in this film. As the lead protagonist in the film, Rishabh Shetty plays the role to perfection. His portrayal of emotions and the way he conveys them are in harmony. He has a good sense of humor, and his performance in the film is a big plus point for the film because of his intense performance.
Sapthami Gowda does a good job in her role as Sapthami Gowda. The love track between Rishab Shetty and Sapthami Gowda is one of the most impressive parts of the film. The seasoned artists have put in equally impressive performances, on the other hand. The performances of artists like Achyuth Kumar and Kishore Kumar were outstanding. As for the rest of the cast, they did a good job and made their presence known.
Insights:
In terms of technical aspects, the film is top of the line. The background score of the film is the film’s biggest plus point. Ajaneesh Loknath has scored a very impressive BGM for this movie. There is no doubt that the makers spent a lot of time and money on this film, and the quality is amazing.
There is no doubt that Arvind Kashyap’s cinematography is excellent. I love the way the visuals look so natural, rustic, and authentic. The technical qualities of the film elevated it perfectly, without a doubt. As far as the VFX work and the production design are concerned, they are excellent.
Review:
There are very few celluloid films like Kanthara, and it is one of the fewer celluloid films. A great deal of care has been taken in the making of the film. The movie is billed as a rustic village drama that is narrated in an intriguing manner. Our attention will be captivated by the engrossing moments of the film.
It is a cinematic masterpiece and a visual spectacle. The film shows Rishab Shetty’s blood on the big screen. It is admirable that the director was able to create an engaging screenplay out of the film’s lack of a long narrative. In the theater, the film offers a grand visual experience.
